Back in May we co-hosted a community forum to explore and discuss the current situation on the Saanich Peninsula, and what is being done to resolve the crisis that the shortage of family doctors has created. It was a really well-attended event, with residents and representatives of four municipalities present, as well as doctors and staff from Shoreline Medical, the Foundation and SPH. We were able to offer a live-stream of the morning session through Facebook for those not able to attend. After the event a report was produced to summarise all the speakers’ presentations, and present the results of the roundtable discussions held by all attendees.
