Thanks to our generous donors the Saanich Peninsula Hospital celebrated the opening of a new and expanded Day Surgery Unit last week! We took a quick behind-the-scenes tour with Troy Courville, Clinical Coordinator Surgical Services & Endoscopy.
As part of the opening ceremonies, local First nations elders May Sam, Patti Underwood and Barb Henry conducted a blessing for the new facility, which is audible at the start of the video.
The expanded Day Surgery Unit will improve patient experience at SPH by increasing access to medical daycare and supporting the delivery of surgeries for people accessing care close to home.
We are so grateful for our community’s continued support of our hospital.
