Lucas Gentina

Lucas Gentina

Lucas Gentina works in Long-term Care at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital as a Rehibilitation Assistant. He decided to swim Elk Lake to raise money in support of the residents. On January 17, 2022, Lucas set out in the chilly water to swim the 2 km from Ski Beach to Eagle Beach, with a support vessel kayak alongside.

We are thrilled to announce that Lucas’s fundraising efforts for Long-term Care have brought in donations exceeding $11,000! Thank you to everyone who donated including Lucas’s colleagues at SPH who formed a team to support him, and the donor from Port Hardy who saw him on the news and was inspired! It is wonderful, heartwarming news. All the money will be spent on direct support of the seniors at SPH’s Long-term Care.
